Be Careful

To be on guard and alerted to issues and problems by the words be careful is a definite advantage, but implies possible loss, injury and/or severe danger or death by something or someone.be careful That is very true in our natural world, as well as our spiritual world! Dangers are all around us. Be aware of them!

The following are various times Christians are forewarned to be careful about spiritual issues. The real Christian life is filled with troubles, dangers and tests (Mt. 6:34; 2 Cor. 11:26; 1 Thess. 2:4; etc.). Carefully examine each passage and take to heart the associated warnings and dangers. They are all there for an important reason. Of course, for the ones who think the Christian life is a cheerful, easy, no-concern, slide into heaven because God will do everything for us, these admonishments will seem very strange and misused somehow, though they are not! Such confusion reveals false teaching, but not from the scriptures. Please verify each point with your own bible.

Acts Of Righteousness

Be careful not to do your “acts of righteousness” before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. (Mat 6:1)

There exists the ever-present danger of possible loss of spiritual rewards by letting our acts of righteousness to be seen by others to be honored by them! NOTE: rewards are lost, NOT BY SINS OF ADULTERY, DRUNKENNESS, etc. (as Charles Stanley and others teach), but by wholesome good acts done with the wrong motive to be seen by others!

Yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees

“Be careful,” Jesus warned them. “Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod.” (Mark 8:15)

“Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” (Mat 16:6)

The warning there was about the teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees. (Mat 16:12)be careful That shows, among many other verses, that true disciples can become deceived by false doctrine and even depart from scripture alone for all teachings (2 Tim. 3:16,17), as the Pharisees and Sadducees did for their doctrines.

Heart Being Weighed Down

Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. (Luke 21:34)

This danger is specific, based on the context, to the last generation and related to Jesus’ return. The days before the return of the Lord Jesus will be tribulation unknown to man. The troubles and anxieties of life related to those problems have never been faced before! Verse 36 is the remedy:

Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.

Do What Is Right in the Eyes of Everybody

Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody.  (Rom 12:17)

What we do, even when evil people do evil things to us, has an influence on others. Even with that we must be careful. Example is very powerful and others are watching.

How You Spiritually Build

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. (1 Cor 3:10)

That verse is related to servants of God, such as Apollos, who were building on the foundation Paul laid. Fire will test the quality of each man’s work (v.13) and possible loss is a definite danger as fire will consume wood, hay and straw, unlike the other building materials. Hence, all Christians who give out the word through witnessing or teaching, especially people like pastors, need to be careful!

Don’t Become a Stumbling Block to the Weak

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak. (1 Cor 8:9)

Christians have a definite freedom in Christ, but it surely is not freedom to sin or indulge the sinful nature. Our freedoms extend to the food we eat, since the dietary law was done away with (Mark 7:19), but our food freedoms can stumble others, who don’t have the knowledge we have. Hence, we must be careful with our food too. [See The Believer’s Conditional Security: Eternal Security Refuted, chapter 11 for much more information on our freedom in Christ.]

Not To Be Over-confident In Standing Firm

So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! (1 Cor 10:12)

The danger of thinking one is spiritually standing firm is very common in our daybe careful and has been caused by a prevalent heresy — eternal security. Eternal security (once saved always saved) will have the advocates thinking that Almighty God is holding and keeping them, can’t see their sins, and guarantees their safe entrance into his Paradise kingdom regardless if they backslide or not. Hence, such proponents are absolutely confident that they are standing firm in their salvation, which has a destructive effect leading to their own spiritual fall! Such unscriptural over-confidence is destructive, but is the bedrock foundation of that heresy, designed by the devil to destroy souls!

Devoted to Doing What Is Good

This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone. (Titus 3:8)

Paul magnified the importance of good deeds even to the point of being devoted to them. How strange this is in our day to read a scripture like that with so many church people thinking good works are not important! Paul taught the opposite under grace!

Do You Know The False Accusation Of A Works Salvation

Fall Short of Entering God’s Rest

Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it. (Heb 4:1)

Again, as in many other areas, we are warned of potential loss. This time with the promise of entering God’s rest.

Free Beer and An Ear Tickle Church

Yes, a nightmare- type church situation continues on! The strangest and weirdest are almost the norm now. That includes serving FREE BEER and more to attract younger people! Whatever it takes to get a crowd is success to some. Some liberal congregations will meet in a bar, drink beer and have communion.

A growing number of churches across the country have taken to serving beers and ales as a means of attracting younger members. Other congregations ditch the sacred space entirely and flock to the local pub, preferring neither water nor wine, but perhaps a nice IPA. In a fascinating look into modern Christian culture in America, NPR’s The Salt blog examines the strange brew of religion and alcohol — and how it’s attracting unexpected people to Christianity.beer church

In Fort Worth, Texas, Church-in-a-Pub gets churchgoers in the spirit, so to speak. Worship leaders hold communion at the bar and even sing hymns and songs of praise. Phil Heinze, who is part of Calvary Lutheran Church’s bold new initiative, said that the idea is to spark curiosity in those around. “I’m interested in having people have significant relationships around Jesus,” he told NPR. “And if it turns out to be craft beer, fine.”

A parish in Portland, Ore., does much the same. First Christian Church holds an event called “Beer & Hymns” once a month, attracting about 100 swilling and singing young people. To keep things in check, the church enforces a two-beer maximum. The casual environment, far from the notions of being in your starched Sunday bests, lends itself to attracting those who wouldn’t be seen sitting in a pew. beer church Even New York — a hallowed haven for microbrews and craft beers — has ministries centered around brewskis. Theology-on-Tap NYC , which came to the city in 2000, takes questions of eternal life and false prophets and puts them in the most unorthodox of settings — an Irish pub.

The group says on its website that it is “in perfect alignment with the Pope,” explaining that the Holy Father commands that the Gospel of Christ should be taken to where the people are. The event is held at Connolly’s Bar on W. 45th St. in Manhattan every Sunday, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (http://www.nydailynews.com)

These People Get NAKED In Church

Back in the prophet Micah’s day, it was similar to our day! Focus in upon this relevant scripture:

If a liar and deceiver comes and says, “I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,” he would be just the prophet for this people! (Micah 2:11)

Read More On Church Giving Beer

It is obvious that there are serious problems, but the most DEADLY congregations are not the ones getting naked and serving beer, as bad as that is. The most deadly ones are held in a more Christian- like environment where deadly false doctrine, like once saved always saved, is taught and believed.

Jesus taught to find we must seek (Mt. 7:7). That certainly holds true for the truth itself. We must personally seek the truth from God’s word, the bible, or we’ll be left bewildered and confused by so many voices saying different things.

You will seek me [God] and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jer 29:13)

It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother to fall.  (Rom 14:21)

You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.  (James 4:4)

Rick Warren The Putrid Pope Francis Bootlicker

Rick Warren is a very popular and beloved figure among the religious. Few in our day have never heard of Rick Warren.rick warren His religious influence over others is great and has spread all over modern-day “Christianity,” but that surely is NOT good! Rick Warren is an eternal security teacher, which is bad enough, but he is much more! He is also a BOOTLICKING CATHOLIC COMPROMISER (and Chrislam promoter)! There are 1.2 billion Catholics, many of whom are very sincere, as they dangerously reach out to their sinless and sovereign Mary (who they think dispenses all grace) for their salvation. She is their “life sweetness and hope,” who they consecrate themselves to and pray to. She is “the way” to God, as the “approved” Fatima apparitions boldly proclaim. The supreme leader of all Catholics and endorser of those pagan and demonic concepts is the Pope, who Rick Warren promotes as someone great – even with a comparison to the perfect Lord JESUS Christ! Shocking and disgraceful! He said:

In fact, there was a headline here in Orange County, and I loved the headline, I saved it. It said, if you love Pope Frances, you’ll love Jesus. (Laughter) That was a headline? That was a headline! It was a headline. I saved it. I showed it to a group of priests that I was uh, speaking to awhile back.

To hear Rick Warren say those detestable words, Click Saddleback Rick Warren Is A Pope Francis Bootlicker

Catholics desperately need God’s truth, not to hear how great their heretical and idolatrous blind leader is!rick warren Rick Warren has gained fame, popularity and wealth by teaching doctrines of demons and complimenting servants of the devil. Warren is now worth $25 million! Though this critique of Rick Warren is “politically incorrect” language in our apostate day, it is true. [I could case less about being politically incorrect because SOULS need rescued!] Along his way to fame and fortune, Rick Warren has spread religious lies and sin by his teachings, which have sent untold thousands into fiery torment beyond the grave, with more following!

Who Is Ecumenical Pope Francis

According to Catholicism, Pope Francis is supposed to be the successor of Peter, the first pope. He is the “vicar of Christ” and shepherd of the whole body of Christ! He is chief teacher of all teachers, as has been all the other popes who preceded him over the centuries. He allegedly holds the keys of the kingdom and is the supreme interpreter of scripture for us. He speaks infallibly when he speaks ex cathedra! That is true to Catholicism, but chilling! Such unscriptural dogmas have led to a vast array of pagan beliefs, Catholic councils and anathemas, condemning all who are not Catholic!

Click Here To Be Shocked About What Past Popes Taught

Catholicism also claims to uniquely have the power through their priests to transubstantiate bread and wine into the body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ! That is a SHOCKING CLAIM, but it gets worse. Catholicism teaches the Eucharist should be “worshiped as God” and is what Jesus referred to in John 6:53,54!

Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:53,54)

Pope Francis would be the first to agree to all that and would say a baby is born again at infant baptism! He believes in and practices bowing before and kissing images, praying the rosary, canonizing saints, etc. Pope Francis embraces the whole ugly ball of wax, which makes Roman Catholicism what it is, but what it is, is NOT something good for SOULS! As with any false gospel, the Catholic gospel has no power to set a person free from his sin addictions! The most faithful Catholic remains spiritually dead and lost as he confesses to the priest, cries out to Mary, receives the Eucharist and wears his brown scapular.pope francis By endorsing Pope Francis, Rick Warren is endorsing all of those errant beliefs and pagan practices — helping to keep 1.2 billion Catholics deceived and bound by the devil. Furthermore, uninformed non-Catholics are being misled about Catholicism by Rick Warren just as they have been by Kenneth Copeland!

Kenneth Copeland Prays For Unity Under Pope Francis

Rick Warren is a disgrace. Rick Warren is an exalted and successful preacher in our day, but a disgusting and miserable example of a spiritual leader because of the harm he has and is doing to SOULS. Again, people need TRUTH, as found in the bible, to become saved and stay saved. That truth is not found in any false religion (including Catholicism), but in scripture alone.

True Modern Day Catholic Beliefs

Did you know of the many pagan beliefs which Catholics embrace, venerating images is important, but often overlooked. Be assured that Pope Francis agrees fully with the following. Ponder this Vatical Council II endorsement:

“Moreover, that the images of Christ, of the Virgin Mother of God, and of the other saints are to be placed and retained especially in the churches, and thatrick warren due honor and veneration is to be given them … but because the honor which is shown them is referred to the prototypes which they represent, so that by means of the images which we kiss and before which we uncover the head and prostrate ourselves, we adore Christ and venerate the saints whose likeness they bear …. great profit is derived from all holy images, not only because the people are thereby reminded of the benefits and gifts bestowed on them by Christ, but also because through the saints the miracles of God and salutary examples are set before the eyes of the faithful, so that they may give God thanks for those things, may fashion their own and conduct in imitation of the saints and be moved to adore and love God and cultivate piety. But if anyone should teach or maintain anything contrary to these decrees, let him be anathema.” (H. J. Schroeder, O. P., The Canons And Decrees Of The Council Of Trent, Tan Books and Publishers, Inc., 1978, p. 216)

Yes, there are similarities between Catholicism and Christians in some doctrines, but that doesn’t mean the differences are insignificant or anything less than DEADLY. The truth is, if you believe Catholicism, with its EXTREME claims, you must also logically accept the Council of Trent which condemns ALL non-Catholics who stand on bible truths! You will also be without the salvation the bible speaks of! Rick Warren is popular, but popularity surely doesn’t reveal success! For your own good, reject what Rick Warren and Pope Francis teach and stand for.

We Are Inching Our Way Towards The Mark of The Beast

Technology continues to advance towards a future literal mark on the right hand or forehead needed to buy or sell, which is known as the mark of the beast (Rev. 13:16,17).

The Angelic Warning of NOT Receiving the Mark of the Beast

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.” This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus. (Rev 14:9-12)

NOTE: the SDA people wrongly interpret the mark of the beast to be Sunday worship of God to magnify their distinctive Saturday Sabbatarian belief! It is only from their founder and false prophet Ellen G. White that such a weird belief could originate. By twisting the scriptures as they do, they have set up each of their faithful members to receive the real mark of the beast when it comes into existence.

In contrast to Rev. 14:9-12, wolf in sheep’s clothing John MacArthur teaches that one can take the mark and still get forgiven! Other dangerous teachers do the same, including Chris Pinto and Mike Desario! Our days are dark. If you are alive when the real mark of the beast is issued, for your soul’s sake do not take the mark!

Tips and Tricks With Gospel Tracts

Strictly Distributing Gospel Tracts

If I’m going out to strictly witness rather than going to the store, doctors, post office, etc. and handing out gospel tracts on the way, I’ll verbally ask, as I hand a person a gospel tract, “If I wasn’t a Christian and asked you how to become a Christian, what would you tell me” OR “Do you know how to get your sins forgiven”?

Those questions, if answered, will spiritually locate a person quickly. Their answer will affect my answer, but my answer will always focus on JESUS and scripture. (It is so sad and dark out there you’ll be amazed how people answer!)
gospel tracts If the person shows any interest, try to show them from your bible 1 Cor. 6:9-11 before he leaves. Have that page paper clipped so you can find it fast. In fact, show him and read it to him at the same time. 1 Cor. 6:9-11 is the BEST passage to quickly help a lost man know he is going to hell and needs JESUS. It is much better to have the person actually see the words in the bible than to just read the passage to him.

(Carry a smaller bible so both of your hands will be free as you hand out gospel tracts. I used to have a leather bible case on my belt, but in more recent times the large pocket in cargo pants is perfect for my smaller bible.)

Using Gospel Tracts During The Weekly Routine

If I’m going to the store, doctors, post office, etc. and handing out gospel tracts on the way I say various quick things, such as “God bless you” as I hand them a gospel tract positioning it so they can see the heading, such as our “Heaven Is Real and Can Be Yours” on our favorite gospel tract. Other things I say are, “Sir (or Ma’am) here’s one for you,” “Did you get one of these,” “Here you go,” “Good reading,” “Good news,” “Here’s a message about the Lord Jesus,” etc.

The Right To Go Gospel Tracting

Here in the USA, please know YOU do have the 1st amendment right of “freedom of speech.” To go to a PUBLIC sidewalk to evangelize is within your rights too. (You can also preach bare throat on a public sidewalk.) If you use any amplification, you might need a permit. Free gospel distribution should always be safe from interference from police, that is, at least it should be safe!

I have had EVIL cops make me move a couple times when they shouldn’t have! If a cop comes, remind him of your constitutional rights. Tell him you are not blocking “public easement,” giving away FREE gospel tracts and practicing your religion. That too could be important. Be respectful to the cops and call them “sir.” I’ve had people try to hide and watch me from a distance to see if I was blocking off the sidewalk as I handed out gospel tracts to try to get me in trouble. IF you run into any two legged SWINES out there, remember what Jesus said:

“Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.” (Mat 7:6)

If someone gets angry and starts cussing, etc. (which is rare, but possible), walk away, if he isn’t leaving. Be alert! Be guarded. As a Christian you can cast out demons and heal the sick too! Remember that. We have prayed many times for afflicted people.

Distractions When Using Gospel Tracts

gospel tracts
The devil will send different types of people your way too. A subtle type will just waste your time in a friendly conversation while precious lost souls walk by! If such occurs, politely excuse yourself from the conversation and keeping spreading the word of life to the lost souls.

Focus on lost souls. The streets can be a place of great temptation. The devil will try to take you down if possible, so be holy and never forget Jesus’ words:

“…. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.” (Rev 3:11)

It is wise to have a digital recorder on you, recording the conversations. If for no other reason, you can review it afterwards and perfect your witnessing more. If you go with a team, each person should have a walkie talkie or cell phone to contact one another if needed, even from across the street.

Know this: You will win MANY more souls on the street than a gospel preacher does in the church building! Many sinners will never go inside the church building, but know they are missing it somehow. That is where you come in. The devil will use 2 main things to stop or slow you down from continuing to sow gospel seeds: (1) fear and (2) discouragement. Don’t allow either to phase you.

Be like the early Christians in the book of Acts. Keep sowing seeds like a gospel farmer. You’ll be surprised at your harvest come Judgment Day! You’ll also find that YOU will be the answer to someone’s prayer! I’ve had numerous people tell me that their family members are Christians and are praying for them. God will actually put a person like that in your path to help them come to God at times! That is very special too!

Bring Up The Conditional Aspect of the Gospel When Gospel Tracting

gospel tracts
If you encounter someone who says outrightly or implies that he’s a Christian, then ask, “What about this teaching called eternal security or once saved always saved. Do you believe in that?”  Sadly, many may say or imply that they do! At that point quote or show them from your bible Mt. 10:22 or Heb. 3:14 if you can.

Tell them they must endure to the end for salvation’s sake and it is possible for a Christian to get back on the road to hell again. We also carry gospel tracts to help the eternal security proponents (and Catholics) from the snare of the devil they are in.

Car Driving and Gospel Tract Analogy

Tract evangelizing and street witnessing are like driving a car. You can’t touch on everything that will happen just by explaining it. With EXPERIENCE you’ll distribute gospel tracts just as EASY as driving! We love it! It is GREAT and you’ll be giving hurting and discouraged people hope. It is also doing God’s will, even if you see no results.

Please know, however, spiritual things happen when God’s word goes forth. A person can’t hear about the precious Lord JESUS and remain the same.  Lost souls need rescued and they must hear the truth (God’s word). We will continue witnessing and tract evangelizing as long as we have breath in our bodies! Without exaggeration, during a whole year just handing out gospel tracts as we go to the bank, store, etc., we’ll get out easily 1,000 of tracts, that’s 1,000 in 1 year just doing ordinary things! When we were into heavy gospel tracting, we’d get out maybe 40,000 or more in one year! We have zero stress about gospel tracting and witnessing. We love it.

Zeal and Evangelizing With Gospel Tracts

As much as street witnessing is wonderful, my personal favorite was going door-to-door with the gospel. I never knew what type of person I’d run into or what subjects they might bring up. The main problem with door-to-door is dangerous dogs. You must remain guarded at all times going door to door, street preaching, etc. Go for it! Your zeal will be contagious. Distributing gospel tracts is addicting and WONDERFUL!

Letter From A Prisoner

[Have you ever wondered what it is like in a prison as far as the types of teaching that are brought into it? Read this letter carefully and you’ll get a clear picture of how eternal security is a common teaching to prisoners (thieves, rapists, murderers, etc.)!]

Blessings and greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus! I requested some information and a copy of your book, The Myth of Eternal Security.letter from prisoner Thank you so much for writing this book! I am currently incarcerated at _____ Jail. The chaplaincy here is unfortunately mostly from a local Baptist Church here in ______. The doctrine of eternal security is preached here heavily. Please keep us here at ____ in prayers as these ministers of a false doctrine are doing more harm than good! They are even handing out KJV Bibles with the eternal security doctrine right in the front!

I personally have talked with one of these ministers (after reading your book) and began asking questions and pointing out passages such as Ezek. 33:13,18; Luke 8:13 and so forth …. He would not allow me to bring up any more scriptures and instead tried to take over the conversation with a series of rapid-fire questions and Bible passages.letter from prisoner Needless to say I was shocked how his demeanor changed when I told him I don’t believe in this eternal security and told him it was a false teaching …. This same minister quotes John MacArthur and was (at the start of our conversation) telling us if a minister so and so commits sin and is found in-for-instance adultery, that this shows he was never saved. I went out and got your book out of my cell and tried to tell him about the chapter in the book called Never Really Saved (ch 24). He refused to listen and when I tried to show him he pushed the book away from himself like it was the plague …. thank you so much for the book, The Myth of Eternal Security. It has really helped me here in the midst of these ministers of false doctrine. Continue to be strong in the faith and go with the strength the Lord gives you! Much thanks and blessings,

NOTE: Evangelical Outreach continues to give FREE materials to prisoners and all who are too poor to pay for them. Thanks for your prayers and financial donations. We are reaching different types of people around the world.

Almost Universally Unknown SALVATION Passages

The following scriptures have been discounted or at least de-emphasized as being vital for understanding personal salvation and having any connection with salvation by grace!salvation scriptures That is because the prevalent false version of grace which people have been taught can’t allow for them. These scriptures don’t fit in with that license to sin and must be rejected. To the eternal harm of souls, this continues on despite their glaringly obvious relationship to salvation:

  • “The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap ETERNAL LIFE. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest IF we do not give up.” (Gal 6:8,9)
  • “Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.”  (1 John 3:7)

  • “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.  He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death.” (Rev 2:10,11)
  • “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.”  (Rev 3:11)
  • “By this gospel you are saved, IF you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have BELIEVED IN VAIN.”  (1 Cor 15:2)
  • “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.”  (Mat 10:37-39)
  • “The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.”  (John 12:25)
  • “To those who by PERSISTENCE IN DOING GOOD seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give ETERNAL LIFE.”  (Rom 2:7)
  • “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. IF it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even ETERNAL LIFE.”  (1 John 2:24,25)
  • “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. • “For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a man is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.”  (Eph 5:5-7)
  • “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But IF you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”  (Mat 6:14,15)salvation scriptures

Print this Salvation Scriptures (pdf)

WARNING! If you share those scriptures with others, who have been adversely influenced by the devil’s doctrine, they very well might label you as teaching a work’s salvation, legalism, and being cultic though these scriptures are pure 100% word of God! Be prepared and remember their rejection of those scriptures doesn’t negate them! They are still related to salvation as much as John 3:16; Romans 10:9,10 and Eph. 2:8,9! The problem is their faulty theology, not the aforementioned scriptures.

Some Highlights From Acts 1-10

In Acts 1, the 120 were in the upper room waiting for the baptism of the Holy Spirit (1:5) to have power for witnessing to the lost (1:8).sorcery Mary the mother of Jesus was there, but had NO special position, honor or influence among the others (1:14). The saints prayed to God and cast lots to know the Apostolic replacement for Judas, who fell away from the faith. The lot fell to Matthias, who became an apostle at that point.

In Acts 2, the Holy Spirit came and the 120 spoke in tongues and non believers heard them speaking in different foreign languages. Peter preached to them and the people were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” (Acts 2:37) Peter spoke about forgiveness of sins (2:38), which is one of two other times he did the same (Acts 3:19; 10:43). Some get confused and think one must be water baptized to be forgiven, but Acts 3:19 and 10:43 clarify the meaning of 2:38 and reveals it is the repentance which brings forgiveness. That is also how the repentant thief got forgiven and he was never water baptized. For awhile the believers lived in Jerusalem together as in a community and shared what they had. (Later that was no longer the case, as they scattered because of persecution, which broke out after the martyrdom of Stephen.)

Acts 6:3-5 lists 7 men filled with the Holy Spirit. They were humble servants, who were also miracle performing bold soul winners! Stephen and Philip are especially noted. [The Book of Acts mostly deals with Peter in the first half and Paul in the second half. However, Stephen and Philip are also mentioned, performing miracles and boldly witnessing, but neither were apostles.] Stephen became the first martyr in Acts. He preached an unprepared sermon loaded with God’s word (Chapter 7). As truth-haters were killing Stephen by pummeling him with large stones, Stephen called on JESUS at the hour of his death – NOT Mary (Acts 7:59,60). Sadly, many sincere Catholics ignore Stephen’s example and call on Mary at the hour of their death, as they have been wrongly taught. Stephen prayed TO Jesus (Acts 7:59), showing he is NOT Michael the archangel as Jehovah’s Witnesses have been fallaciously taught. In Acts 7:58 we first read of Saul (who later became the Apostle Paul). Saul’s conversion is the GREATEST salvation testimony in scripture, for he is first shown to be a diligent and fierce persecutor of Christians, who later became the mighty apostle Paul! [**BTW, Stephen was also filled with grace (Acts 6:8). The Catholic church teaches Mary was “sinless” because she was filled with grace. If that conclusion would be true (which it isn’t), then Stephen would also be sinless, for he too was filled with grace!]

After Stephen’s death, the church scattered from Jerusalem (except the Twelve). noteworthy events in actsPhilip, one of the Seven, now comes to the forefront. He went to a city in Samaria. Through him, “with shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and MANY paralytics and cripples were healed” (Acts 8:7)! Even a man named Simon got saved as did many others.

==>NOTE: Simon might be the second greatest conversion testimony in Acts, but such is commonly unrecognized and even denied. Simon was a SORCERER, whom the deceived people in that whole area thought was THE GREAT POWER OF GOD (Acts 8:10)! Imagine that! The people there couldn’t differentiate the supernatural power and deeds of the devil through sorcery from the power of God. Folks, the only way that can be done is to examine the message surrounding the supernatural. Remember, there are two sources of supernatural power – God and the devil. God is NOT the only source of supernatural power. That truth is vital to prevent fatal religious deception. Shockingly, Simon the sorcerer did get saved! He came to saving faith and was baptized (8:13), but later when Peter and John came into the area, Simon’s heart was captive to sin (Acts 8:20-24). Simon quickly fell away. If he returned to God again is not known. [Simon’s conversion is flatly, but wrongly denied by the, “I never knew you” group – once saved always saved proponents!]

Philip also led an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace (queen of the Ethiopians), to Jesus (8:27-38). After baptizing him, Philip was translated to Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel all alone in all the towns until he reached Caesarea (Acts 8:40)! [That eunuch was another noteworthy conversion through Philip’s ministry.]

In chapter 9, Saul got struck down and saved on the Damascus road on his way to persecute more Christians! That was the most noteworthy event in Christianity, after Jesus’ death on the cross. [Saul became the Apostle Paul and wrote half of the New Testament.]

Acts 10 is very significant too for it describes a God fearing, praying and generous to the poor lost Roman centurion named Cornelius. An angel appeared to him and told him where to send to get Peter who would tell him the message of how to be saved (Acts 11:13,14). That actual message is recorded in Acts 10:34-43. Cornelius got instantly saved as he believed on JESUS in his heart without speaking a syllable. He was also filled with the Holy Spirit at the same time. Afterwards he was water baptized as a believer. [Infants can’t believe on Jesus and are NEVER baptized in the Bible. Men and women were baptized (Acts 8:12). Infant baptism is not a Christian practice, but a pagan practice.] Also, just being highly religious and generous doesn’t mean one is saved and not on the road to hell, for Cornelius was like that and yet needed salvation. Cornelius needed TRUTH on how to be forgiven and Peter gave it to him, showing the preciousness of the life-giving gospel message. The gospel message is much more valuable than gold. Hence, to preach a false gospel is not only disastrously misleading for those who hear it, but also a damnable sin in itself for all who preach it (Gal. 1:8,9)!

Former Catholic Writes Mother Angelica

Dear Mother Angelica:

Greetings in Jesus’ name. I recently heard one of your talks on the internet. I was touched out of mercy for your soul. mother angelicaIt appears that you are a sincere Catholic, who is trying to do the right things. That is commendable. However, as a former Catholic, I know the emptiness without salvation. We (Catholics) have been taught Mary, the sacraments and being a Catholic are all essential for salvation. Such is dangerously foreign to the Bible.

Please accept the enclosed book [Is This The Mary of the Bible] as a gift for you. Read it carefully. JESUS is to be the focus of our faith. We can get to him without Mary by being humble and sincere. He will take us in if we are willing to turn from our sins and place a submissive faith in JESUS (which leaves 0% for Mary).

The Fatima visions declare that Mary is “the way” to God! That is violently contradicted by Jesus himself in John 14:6. So the dilemma for all Catholics is which will you reject? Will you believe Jesus and reject the Fatima visions and the Catholic authorities, which sanctioned them OR what Jesus taught?

Mother Teresa Gets Awarded

The Bible declares the Lord Jesus as our life (Col. 3:4), our sweetness (Mt. 11:29) and our hope (1 Tim. 1:1) – not Mary! There is only ONE mediator and Mary is NOT it. Jesus is our only mediator (1 Tim. 2:5). The dying thief got forgiven without Mary. Mary was at the foot of the cross, but got to Jesus without her for his forgiveness (Luke 23:42,43)!mother angelica doesn't know the way Jesus never said if you want to come to me you must first go to Mary. Never! He also went to Paradise, not Purgatory, where forgiven mortal sinners, like thieves, are supposed to go.

The Bible is God’s truth, but drastically different from praying to Mary, the saints and angels. There are no bowing before and kissing statues that are allowed. There is no office as “pope.” Peter was not a pope, based on scripture. Did you know Peter NEVER mentioned Mary by name or referred to her even once, at any time, especially in his 2 epistles. Paul wrote about EVERY aspect of the Christian life — including prayer, devotion, grace, forgiveness, etc., but never (not even once) mentioned Mary or inferred to her! Could the Lord’s apostles be wrong? Could it be wrong or error to do it the Bible way without Mary, the Catholic sacraments, etc.? All have sinned, including Mary, for she is not sharing in the glory of God as sinless (Romans 3:23 cf. Isa. 42:8).

Demon Possession and Exorcism

Mark 9:17-27 is a stirring verse by verse (expository) study on demon possession and exorcism, power of God as we call it today. The delivering power of God and the reality of the spirit realm are revealed, as are the nullifying effects of unbelief. Examine these verses carefully, for people are still being possessed by demons today!

A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not.” (Mark 9:17,18)

COMMENT: The father knew it was a demon. It was a spiritual problem and not a physical problem that took his speech away. Demons can affect a person physically, as shown here and elsewhere. In fact, a demon can actually throw a person to the ground, making him foam at the mouth, gnash his teeth and become rigid! The Lord’s disciples tried to cast that demon out, but couldn’t!

“O unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”  (Mark 9:19)

COMMENT: Jesus rebukes the disciples for their unbelief. Jesus gave the Twelve “authority” to cast out demons (Mark 3:14,15), but their unbelief nullified it and they got rebuked for it! They had personal saving faith in Jesus, but not the faith needed to cast out that type of demon, at that point in time!

So they brought him. When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. (Mark 9:20)

COMMENT: That demon could look through the body of the boy he was in and see Jesus! His reaction was to convulse the boy, again showing demons can physically affect a person like that. (That doesn’t mean all convulsions are demonic though.) [At various times, especially when soul winning, we have personally seen people react very strange around us, indicating demons are in them and could see the Lord Jesus in us.]

Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” (Mark 9:21,22)

How Did He Get That Demon?

COMMENT: A perplexing bible mystery surfaces –how did that young boy get such a vicious demon?bible mystery Why him and not others? The bible does NOT tell us, just like it doesn’t say how the mad man in the region of the Gerasenes got at least 2,000 demons (Mark 5:2-13) or Mary Magdala got 7 demons (Mark 16:9)! These are Bible mysteries. However, we can a take a guess, but such is not a guarantee of accuracy. Perhaps, the boy’s parents were involved in the occult and that is why he got afflicted as he did while other children don’t. After all, all little children basically do the same exact things, but that one became a target.

People who dabble in witchcraft, including the Ouija board, may do it innocently but they still open a door for demons to cause unusual problems for them! That is just like a person innocently drinking a bottle of poison, but it will still cause bodily harm! Folks, avoid ALL fortune tellers, palm readers, tarot card readers, Ouija boards, crystal balls, etc. Do it for your sake and your family’s.

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:23,24)

COMMENT: FAITH is the key to the impossible and miracles. It takes faith for Christians to cast out demons. We must believe the promises of God to see miracles.

When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” (Mark 9:25,26)

COMMENT: When the demon (a deaf and mute spirit) left, it was apparent to all those who were present. That occurred as Jesus commanded with “authority” (Mark 1:27). The demon had to go and it did. Also, notice that Jesus commanded the demon never to enter the boy again! Demons do return sometimes, based on Mt. 12:43-45.

But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. (Mark 9:27)

COMMENT: Though the boy looked like he was dead physically, he wasn’t. Looks can be deceiving, as shown here. The boy was FREED from demonic influences because of the power of God! Medical doctors and medicine could NOT have delivered that boy ever. The boy was able to speak again and function without such problems.

Please know that unsaved people can cast out demons (Acts 19:13-15 cf. Mt. 7:21-23)! Shocking but true! Christians cast out demons too! We don’t distinguish the saved from the lost that way, but instead by the way mentioned in 1 John 3:10:

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
