It Could Always Be Worse

The following short video has a powerful message behind it. We can all benefit by it, especially Christians!

The Christian life is a life of adversities.  It is impossible in this cursed world system to have the proverbial bed of roses if you are living godly (2 Tim. 3:12), and you must live godly to be a Christian (Lk. 8:21; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 21:27). Regarding riches, Paul told Timothy:

But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Tim 6:6-10)

Personal circumstances could always be worse. It is extremely hard for the rich to enter God’s kingdom (Mk. 10:25). Furthermore, regarding entering God’s kingdom, the poor have the advantage, according to Scripture:

Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?  (James 2:5)
