God On His Throne

God on his throne is the center of the universe. It is from there that the Almighty creator God rules his universe. The Lord Jesus came from there to come to earth and both Paul and John were caught up to heaven (2 Cor. 12:2-7; Rev. 4-22). All three gave some details of heaven. What John saw is the most detailed and is found in Revelation, especially starting in chapter 4. The one he saw sitting on the throne was of jasper and carnelian in appearance. Jesus said God is spirit (John 4:24). So God, the spirit being on the throne, which John saw, was of that color. Also, an emerald rainbow encircled his throne.

There are also 24 other thrones which surround God’s throne. The twenty-four unidentified elders are sitting on them dressed in white and each has a gold crown:

From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. Before the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God. Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. (Rev 4:5,6)

The living creatures (are cherubim – Ezek. 10:1 cf. 20 cf. 1:3-6) and they never stop saying: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. (Rev 4:8). While that continuously takes place the 24 elders worship God and say:

You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being. (Rev 4:11)

In Revelation 5, Jesus (the slain lamb who has triumphed) is on God’s throne too. Jesus is the redeemer alone. Mary is not the co-redemptress:

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped. (Rev 5:13,14)

Observations About Heaven and God’s Throne

  • Only the Father and Jesus are there. Mary is NOT on the throne. She is NOT ruling with Jesus, as the idolatrous Catholic song, Immaculate Mary states. No Queen of Heaven is there. That alone proves that Catholic Sacred Tradition contradicts Scripture and is proven untrustworthy. Catholicism is in DEADLY error by placing Tradition on the same authoritative level as the Bible.
  • Both the Father and Jesus are worshiped in heaven. That proves Jesus is not a created being or anything less that deity. Jesus is God in the flesh and receives equal praise and worship with the Father.
  • Heaven is a musical place, with all singing out praises, but only to the Father and Jesus who are the focal point.
  • No statues or candles are there.

The people excluded from God’s holy paradise heaven are listed in Mark 7:20-23; 1 Cor. 6:9,10; Eph. 5:5-7; Rev. 21:8; Gal. 5:19-21; Matt. 5:28,29; etc. ONLY the pure in heart (Mt. 5:8), righteous and holy will be there (Mt. 25:46; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 20:6; 21:27). Most will go to hell’s fire.

If you plan to enter heaven and reap eternal life (Gal. 6:8,9), you will have to put forth EFFORT to enter (Luke 13:23,24). Your trust and faith must be a submissive one, which unashamedly follows Jesus, here and now. You must endure to the end:

We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first. (Heb 3:14)

There is NO once saved always saved. If you are a Bible-defined Christian now, HOLD ON to what you have (Rev. 3:11). If you are not a Christian, R-E-P-E-N-T.
